“Training Course Held on Industrial Pollution Control Technology Transfer for Administrative Officials from Henan Province, China,” Commissioned by Mie Prefecture

A “Training Course on Industrial Pollution Control Technology Transfer for Administrative Officials from Henan Province, China,” which was commissioned by Mie Prefecture, was carried out from October 27 to November 17.
In this course, the officials being trained visited sites and were given lectures to learn about the technologies, the legal system, and the monitoring systems for air-pollution control measures and countermeasures, and also learned about water treatment technologies as well as waste disposal. In the measures and countermeasures categories, especially the technologies for denitration and dust collection attracted a great deal of attention from the trainees.
On holidays, they visited Ise and Nara to have opportunities to come in touch with Japanese culture.

On the final day of the training course, they made presentations of their own reports, and the presentations included expressions of determination to make the best use of the technologies for air-pollution control measures and countermeasures that they had learnt during the training in order to instruct companies in the province, and determination to use the waste-disposal system for reference.
We would like to express our gratitude to the parties involved in the training course. (Ueda)
