FY2011 JICA Training Course Starts on “Waste Management (A) for Promoting Recycling-Oriented Societies in Central and South America”

On June 7, 2011(Tues.), ICETT launched a JICA-commissioned training course on “Waste Management (A) for Promoting Recycling-Oriented Societies in Central and South America”. Seven participants came from four countries: Bolivia, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and El Salvador.

 

 

 

20110610-1Ahead of training at ICETT, the participants made presentations of their inception reports at JICA Chubu in Nagoya. They explained what problems their countries need to solve with regard to the theme of this course, and what they intended to learn about in order to deepen their understanding of the situation in each of their countries.

 

 

On June 7, they attended an orientation session, and will start taking lectures after an opening ceremony on June 8.

Ⅱ) Methods to promote the 3Rs of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle to create recycling-oriented societies
Ⅲ) Waste disposal technology and the implementation of the 3Rs
Ⅳ) Methods to promote awareness of the environment and summary of the course
