~ Promoting industrial pollution control technology in Chubu Central Region ~

It is intended to learn about the situation of companies in the Chubu Central Region of Japan, including Aichi, Gifu, Mie, Toyama, and Ishikawa prefectures, which are engaged in environmental business using eco-friendly industrial pollution control technology, as well as to help develop measures and a system to comprehensively support the domestic and overseas expansion of these kinds of business operations in the future. |

To help activate environmental business, ICETT will begin an e-mail newsletter service for companies and organizations mainly in the Chubu Central region of Japan to deliver information including programs offered to the public related to environmental business, measures such as laws and ordinances, and seminar schedules. |

~ Environmental technology promotion to China ~

A survey on the situation and needs of environmental business in Taiwan, which is regarded as a gateway to China, was conducted to promote the technology transfer from companies with environmentally advanced technology in Mie Prefecture to China. A Taiwan business seminar was also held for companies in the prefecture. |

ICETT implemented the JICA Partnership Program (Local Government Type), commissioned by the Mie prefectural government, to promote the “Integrated Program for Environmentally-friendly Compost Systems in the Republic of Palau”. It was intended as an 18-month program, starting in October 2011, to help dispose of and compost waste in the country. |
