ICETT Participates in the International Conference & Utility Exhibition 2011 in Thailand

ICETT took part in the International Conference & Utility Exhibition 2011 (ICUE 2011) in Pattaya, Thailand, from September 28 to 30. ICUE 2011, attended by 285 exhibitors from 20 countries, was organized through the joint efforts of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) to increase the use of renewable energy. At a session held by ICETT, two experts from a university and a company in Mie Prefecture explained to about 120 participants the current situation of wind power generation technology and the results of their research into it. Together with them, ICETT also set up a booth to promote our environmentally friendly technology and our knowledge and activities in this field.

Professor Kumar of AIT mentioned that he had been working on a joint session with ICETT for the second straight year.

On September 29, we investigated the situation of local environmental protection. We visited, together with some municipal officials, a community in the City of Rayong where small wind power generators have been installed, to interview a community representative on why and how these generators were established and the current situation of the environment there.
