Details of Ongoing Course: FY2011 JICA Training Course on “Waste Management (A) for Promoting Recycling-Oriented Societies in Central and South America”

On June 7, 2011(Tues.), ICETT launched a JICA-commissioned training course on “Waste Management (A) for Promoting Recycling-Oriented Societies in Central and South America”. Seven participants came from four countries: Bolivia, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and El Salvador.

Since the beginning of the course, the participants have not only learned about the Japanese waste management system and technology but also undergone training, which helps enhance the efficiency of garbage collection. They also took part in clean-up activities on the beach, organized by a local nonprofit organization.
