Duration of Training/Seminars |

Details | To contribute to global warming prevention, this program intends to transfer and diffuse resource- and energy-saving technology to Indian industries to promote the improvement of energy efficiency.
ICETT will make efforts to promote awareness of the improvement of energy saving in the Indian metal rolling industry by means of technical guidance, taking full advantage of achievements resulting from the previous program. ICETT will also help introduce Japanese technology and equipment, effective in decreasing greenhouse gas emissions, to other industries, and proceed with investigations to identify successful examples and obstacles to the agreed introduction. ICETT is determined to widely share with Japanese companies useful knowledge and information, obtained from these two activities, to facilitate the promotion of Japanese technology transfer, thus contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in India. |

Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Program in Developing Countries (Philippines)
Country |
Philippines |

Duration of Training/Seminars |
|
Details | In an attempt to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the Philippines, ICETT has held seminars and had Japanese technicians give technical guidance to local small and medium-sized enterprises in Metro Manila and four other districts in cooperation with the Philippine Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and other government organizations. This has resulted in enhanced energy efficiency at the local businesses and better technical knowledge of government officials in this field.
The program of the previous fiscal year was intended for a relatively large food manufacturer with a high potential to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. As a consequence of guidance by Japanese technicians, the company successfully produced positive results. In addition to the follow-up activities of the previous program, ICETT will make efforts this fiscal year to pick out new companies which have the potential to decrease their greenhouse gas emissions, and provide them with technical assistance to promote the reduction and produce even better results in a wide variety of Philippine industries. ICETT also intends to raise awareness of the significance of curbing greenhouse gases among other enterprises through seminars and pursue building up the capacity of related organizations to do the same. Carbon Credits will be another relevant consideration for ICETT while carrying out the program. |
