ICETT accepted visitors from the Republic of Indonesia

ICETT was visited by four representatives from the Republic of Indonesia, including a local government official, a consultant on the environment, and a company member responsible for environmental matters, who are interested in the Japanese water purification and wastewater treatment technology. The group was led by an Indonesian counterpart of the Business Matching Seminar and Meetings in Indonesia, which were conducted as part of the Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry-commissioned Fiscal 2015 Support Program for Overseas Business Expansion Promotion.

 

Fostering international co-operation in the accelerated development and diffusion of climate-friendly technologies and practices 

Contents

As the CTI Programme Secretariat, ICETT organizes the Climate Technology Initiative (CTI) Executive Committee meetings and maintain updated CTI and CTI PFAN websites. ICETT also organizes side events at United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) conferences in cooperation with the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the CTI.

CTI PFAN Programme support activities 

Contents

ICETT supports the CTI PFAN Programme which provides coaching and technical assistance to project developers in developing and transition countries in the preparation of project financing proposals and investment pitch. As part of the programme, workshops and forums are held where experts and clean energy investors provide inputs to enable projects meet the standards of the international finance community and achieve financial closure.

International cooperation project on global environment

With Japan participating in the Climate Technology Initiative (CTI), an international operation, ICETT implements various activities and programs in cooperation with the CTI and promotes the transfer of advanced environmental technology of Japan and other industrialized countries to developing countries, thereby contributing to global warming prevention.

International cooperation project on global environment(Clean Technology Business Network:CTBN)

Contents

In this project,ICETT implements support activities to promotes match making between clean technology (※)providers(small & medium sized Japanese enterprises) and clean technology seekers (project developers in developing countries) and creating feasible clean projects.
Through the implementation and verification of above support activities,ICETT also considers  effective support scheme as “Clean Technology Business Network(CTBN) program”and proposes to METI
(※)Renewable energy and Energy efficiency technology that contribute to greenhouse gas emission reduction.

Forum of Environmental Technology Transfer for ASEAN in Mie

Country

Republic of  Indonesia, Kingdom of Thailand, Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Background and aims  On May 26 and 27, 2016, the G7 Summit was held in Ise City and Shima City, Mie Prefecture. Following the international atmosphere fostered in the Prefecture through the Summit, “Forum of Environmental Technology Transfer for ASEAN” will be held in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture as one of the post-summit events.  

Central government officials from Republic of Indonesia, Kingdom of Thailand, and Socialist Republic of Vietnam are invited to the Forum to share the environmental issues in their respective country. Panel Discussion will ensue under the theme of “Environmental Issues in ASEAN Countries and Transfer of Environmental Technology of Mie Prefecture”. In the Panel Discussion, the representatives from ASEAN countries will discuss about solutions to the environmental issues in their countries and future cooperation with Mie Prefecture for environmental conservation. Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan ALSi Co., Ltd, and ICETT will also participate in the Discussion as panelists.
