Call for Participants for FY2025 Global Environment Workshop for High School Students

 

 Yokkaichi City will participate in the "High School Students' Global Environment SchoolHigh school students in YokkaichiThe following is a call for applications for the following

 The purpose of the Global Environment Workshop for High School Students is to deepen mutual understanding among high school students from Tianjin, China, Yokkaichi's friendship city, and Long Beach, USA, Yokkaichi's sister city, through training and exchange of opinions with them. The purpose of the program is to help activate environmental conservation activities in Tianjin, Long Beach, and Yokkaichi.


1. Details of this project

 (1) Lectures on environmental issues (this year's theme: "mitigation" and "adaptation" to climate change)
 (2) Tours of environmental learning facilities and companies
 (3) International exchange through environmental issues (accommodation exchange)
 (4) Presentation of learning outcomes on environmental issues

Examples of Activities (FY2024 Global Environment Workshop The details of the activities in 2024 are as followsthis way (direction close to the speaker or towards the speaker)(See Figure 1.)
 In addition to lectures and tours, there will be plenty of opportunities for participants to interact with each other!
 The participants commented that they would continue to actively participate in environmental preservation activities even after the program was over.

2. Schedule of this project

 Tuesday, July 29 - Sunday, August 3, 2025
 *On the nights of Tuesday, July 29 through Saturday, August 2, students will stay at ICETT with high school students from abroad.


3. Location of the Project

 Main Venue and Accommodation: International Center for Environmental Technology Transfer (ICETT)
          3684-11 Sakura-machi, Yokkaichi City (in Suzuka Foothills Research Park)


4. cost

 Free of charge (including accommodation, meals, etc.)
 *Personal expenses during the period are to be borne by each participant.
