【Report】The 2nd ICETT Carbon Neutral Seminar "Business Cases and Key Points for Implementation in the Carbon Neutral Sector in ASEAN Countries" was held.

Summary

International Center for Environmental Technology Transfer (ICETT) held the 2nd ICETT Carbon Neutral Seminar "Business Cases and Key Points for Implementation in the Carbon Neutral Sector in ASEAN Countries" on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Nagoya International Center, 3rd Floor, Training Room 2, to introduce various CN technologies and business cases in ASEAN countries using them, specific support measures for business implementation, and international cooperation in the field of Carbon Neutrality (CN) to promote interest in overseas business development.

In the lecture by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the speaker explained the current situation in which companies are proactively conducting business in developing countries based on the fact that private-sector funds far exceed ODA among the funds flowing into developing countries while climate change measures are being implemented in ASEAN countries. JICA also introduced its corporate support scheme.
Next, three companies that have actually expanded overseas through JICA's scheme introduced case studies of CFC recovery and recycling, small-scale hydroelectric power generation, and water purification using gas dissolution equipment as technologies that contribute to achieving carbon neutrality, providing many practical suggestions for companies to proactively expand overseas.
The business card exchange session held at the venue after the seminar was attended by a large number of audience members, who actively exchanged opinions not only with the lecturers but also with each other, providing an opportunity to deepen mutual exchanges.
