Report】Vietnam Investment Seminar was held.

　On Thursday, October 3, 2024, Yokkaichi City held a seminar on investment in Vietnam to promote economic exchange with Haiphong City, Vietnam, with which Yokkaichi City has concluded a memorandum of understanding on economic exchange.

　Unfortunately, the Hai Phong People's Committee, which was scheduled to visit Japan for this seminar, was unable to come to Japan due to Typhoon No. 11 (Goat), but many companies and government officials from Yokkaichi City attended the seminar.

　The seminar featured a video message from Mr. Nguyen, Director General of the Haiphong People's Committee Foreign Affairs Department, a promotional video of Haiphong City, and a lecture from Deep Sea Industrial Park, one of the industrial parks in Haiphong City, on the economic situation in Vietnam and Haiphong, in addition to an introduction of the industrial park. The event also featured a presentation on the economic situation in Vietnam and Haiphong by Deep Sea Industrial Park. JETRO Mie, Mie Prefecture, and Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank introduced various support programs for companies setting up operations in Vietnam.
