Reduction of NOx Discharge




1. Purpose
To reduce the concentration of NOx discharged by gas turbine from 200ppm to 6ppm in accordance with the pollution prevention ordinance of Mie Prefecture regulating the total amount of discharged NOx.

2. Applied Technology and the Time
Steam injection was provided in the combustion chamber of the gas turbine and the flue gas denigration system was installed in the exhaust gas boiler as a measure for reducing the amount of NOx discharge that was increasing in line with the installation of gas turbine equipment. ( June, 1989 )

3. Principle
(1) Suppression of NOx generation by injecting steam into the gas turbine.
Fuel / Steam = 1/1 ~ 1/1.2
(2) Denigration by the ammonia catalytic reduction method.
