Reduction of NOx Discharge by Improving Combustion Method
1. Purpose
To reduce the discharge of NOx by improving the combustion method. Concretely, it consists of the three methods, that is, 2-stage combustion, flue gas mixing combustion method and low NOx burners.
2. Time of Introduction
2-Stage combustion method and exhaust gas mixed combustion method.
Remodeling of existing boilers carried out during the period of March, 1974 to November, 1975.
Low NOx burners
First unit was installed in West Nagoya thermal power station in May, 1974 and subsequently installed in other thermal power stations.

LNG thermal power 50 ppm
Petroleum thermal power 80 ~ 225 ppm
