ICETT Receives the Environment Minister's Commendation

ICETT received the Minister of the Environment’s 2009 Commendation for Global Warming Prevention Activity from Japan's Ministry of the Environment, with high praise by the ministry for our activities. The award has been given annually since 1998 in recognition of individuals or organizations in Japan that have made distinguished contributions to the prevention of global warming. This year, 30 out of 163 cases were selected in five categories from all over the country. Fumio Kawaguchi, Chairman of ICETT and also Chairman of the Chubu Economic Federation, attended the award ceremony on December 2, and, in recognition of our support activities in developing countries for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, received an award in the International Contributions Category from Mr. Takemoto, Assistant Vice Minister of the Global Environmental Bureau at the Ministry of the Environment.
