Follow up research

As shown in Table 3(*), up to now from 1998, we could already invite totally 58 members to the 4 workshops held at ICETT. This year, we had an opportunity to make visits to Thailand, China and Malaysia to have follow up research activities. In particular at Bangkok, we could have a seminar inviting almost 60 persons concerned and had discussions to pick up suggestions for our future improvement of the workshop. Semiar snapshots are shown in Photos 3.
Summarizing the seminars, it was emphasized that CTI workshops held at ICETT are quite promising in that participants are strongly motivated with energy efficiency oriented mind.
Typical items requested by the seminar attendants and interviewed members are

  1. To increase the case study opportunities
  2. To include proposal examples on energy efficiency from developing countries side
  3. To invite key persons from government of developing country
  4. To have information exchange opportunities among developing countries
  5. To eliminate theoretical matters and to add applicable matters as much as possible
  6. To construct and to maintain e-mail group of workshop participants

Internet system can be an excellent and useful communication tool for continuing communication in the future to strongly assist mutual communication among workshop participants. Strongly tied human network through the workshop activities will motivates an effective first step to construct environmental experts of network in the developing countries. We understood a strong desire to have workshops in the developing countries, and we found powerful and potential organizations to support such workshop activities in developing countries such as Thailand, Malaysia and also in China.

(*)Correction information of the participants of list in Table 3 is always welcome.
