CTI Workshop

The CTI Energy Efficiency Workshop was held from Sunday, October 7 through Saturday, October 20, 2001, with 8 experts of energy efficiency, cleaner production and environmental management from Australia, Germany and Japan as lecturers and 14 participants from five Asian developing countries, namely China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Most of the participants are engineers in industry; others are from academic and governmental institutions. It was quite unfortunate that we could not invite lecturers from the U.S.A. because of the terrorism accident in New York in September last year and important part of the information from developed countries could not be delivered to the participants. Attendance of ICETT delegates to the COP7 in Morocco was not possible also because of the ban of going abroad, and so, to deliver the fruits of the workshop to the COP7 conference participants was not possible. Workshop schedule , lecturers’ list, attendants’ lists and some snapshots taken during the workshop are shown in Tables 1-3 and Photos 1-2.
