In this session, case-studies undertook by the Chubu Electric Inc. The studies were about company-based or industrial-based environmental management such as energy saving, recycling, energy efficiency and cleaner production.

What have you seen and heard during the plant-visits and informal talks that you feel is worth learning more about to enable you to carry out your work more effectively?
Established in 1951, Chubu Electric Power Co.,Inc.(Chubu EPCo.) supplies electricity to five prefectures in the Chubu region at the center of Japan. The supply area covers 39,149 square kilometers (about 10 percent of Japan as a whole) and 16.6 million people (about 13 percent of the total population of Japan).
