Result of Questionnaire

1. What are your opinions on the aspects of the workshop.

(1)The scope of the workshop is

(2)Its technical level is

(3)Its period is

(4)The number of participants

2.Please show the subjects of lecturers which have proved useful for you.

  • Please more information of applicable technologies of CO2 reduction. /Energy conservation.
  • Actually all the lectures are useful. It's like guidance to do EE.
  • These lectures introduced some new concept, programs, technologies that have and have not been useful to other countries, and why.
  • More numbers of hours should be allocated in the LCA method.
  • Please give document cover item.
  • More practical experiences in energy efficiency is recommended.
  • More case study is beet, Need tools like a check sheets or software to solve EE problem.
  • Generally appropriate subjects selection. Very well organized. Will be useful for my work in Malaysia.
  • Good balance between background theory and practical example.
  • We need information about technologies of energy conservation. We want to know the implementation of those technology., at modern country like USA, Germany, Japan. We want to know the strength and weakness to use those technology.

3. If you feel that some lectures should be added to the workshop, or that some should be abolished, please show the subjects of such lectures, as well as the reason why these are necessary or unnecessary.

  • It should be added more EE case study and the list of cooperation Projects.
  • Energy conservation method in steel manufacturing.
  • Please added by applicable technologies and alternative source of energy which available in related developing countries.
  • I think the topics are adequate but I feel that theoretical discussion (e.g. thermodynamics) should be minimized.
  • The overall discussion on "Energy conservation Technology" is fair enough. But the technical presentation was too technical.
  • High efficiency tool for saving energy.
  • Workshop of Case study.
  • Other countries such as Australia and New Zealand may be able to contribute together with the other lecturers. This will give participants a wide perspective of EE inactives.
To add lectures & more examples of EE successes at industrial site i.e. at users point of use. Energy audits.(Mr. Pawanteh)

4. Was the factory tour beneficial or useful for you?

  • It is eye opener for almost all the developing country. Very much to know the commitment of private sector in the implementation of EE and to know the EE done at the Power Plant.
  • It would have been more useful if it were a steel plant that we visited, and observed it successful energy conservation programs.
  • The energy saving project may be costly if implemented in our country.
  • Short time.
  • The lecture parted by Mr. Uno proves very beneficial to me. I am looking forward to learning about the successful stories. Only the plant tour itself was hindered by the rain.
  • Not so good during tour, because rain.
The projects shown should be documented as case studies and distributed to participants & discussed.

5. The workshop was aimed at presenting the various programs of developed countries for energy saving, and helping participating countries determine programs suitable for them.
If you are interested in the technologies or programs of countries other than Japan, the U.S. and Germany (which sent lecturers to the workshop), please show the names of such countries.

  • European Comission's Countries , India, Brazil
  • Europe, OECD
  • Canada, Netherlands
  • I think these three countries are already very good and representative sources of future technologies and programs.
  • Netherlands, New Zealand
  • Sweden
  • Australia, New Zealand
  • Australia
  • I think, the lectures already good.

6. The workshop was organized through cooperation not between two countries, but among many countries. Which do you think better bilateral or multilateral?

7. During the workshop, many hours were dedicated to discussion, in order that the knowledge and experience of participants should be shared by all participants, and thus used in energy saving efforts of participants of participating countries. What is your opinion on this method?

8. In what activities are you going to use the results of the workshop?

9. What is your proposal for improving the workshop?

  • Welcome to China.
  • Give opportunities to all participants to introduce their company and activities related to conservation on energy.
  • More hours should be dedicated to lecture to present focus and explain deeply on every importance subjects.
  • It's OK! Perhaps one session of "Case Study" would be better during discussion.
  • More discussion on the problem of each country.
  • To enhance the success of EE project through the effort of the government by way of incentives, motivation.
  • More activity for technology.
  • More case study, to know energy saving equipment.
  • Introduce more factory visit and explain the factory EE implementation program in terms of structure, management, difficulties, etc.
  • Everything OK. -good facilities, good service, and adequate food.<\UL>

10. Another comments if any.

  • Developing countries has to concern and responsible to reduce greenhouse gases by selected technology, awareness ,etc.
  • This Workshop is well organized. An eye opener, with all the technology know-how and tools at the door steps ready to be pick up and used.
  • This Workshop has been organized very well. Thank you.
  • It fresh air can be circulated into the seminar room from time to time, it will revive the participants better. (For me, the room is a bier too stuffy and warm.
  • It possible, if participant will have a topic of energy problem in his company and let all participants and lecturer have commitment.
  • The organization of the program is excellent. This program should be extended to other participants. Interested suppliers, Technology providers and Govt. Institutes should be invited to expose participants to actual products and EE solutions.
  • Great organization by ICETT and very helpful countries staff. An overall great Workshop.
